Another week, another batch of Tuneage-approved releases. As usual, all links end at Amazon.
Papercuts - “Future Primitive”
I first heard about Papercuts, Jason Quever’s San Francisco-based “sad-pop” outfit, back in 2007 when they released Can’t Go Back, one of my favorite albums of that year. After two years of playing Can’t Go Back over and over, the band is gearing up to release its next album, You Can Have What You Want (set for release April 14th on Gnomonsong). I haven’t heard much about the new album, but if the recently released, bass-driven “Future Primitive” is any indication, the upcoming album will feature the same kind of reverb-heavy, intimate indie pop I love from this band.
