You know when I said a couple of weeks ago that it was a good week to blow all your money on music? Well, that was a good week, but this week is even better and is going to cost you even more money. We’d apologize for your being broke if we weren’t completely wasted on good tunes…
Music Go Music - “Light of Love”
It’s OK, you can admit it. You have a soft spot for ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I know this is true because their bouncy, sunny, Swedish disco electro-pop is nearly impossible not to like. ABBA may be gone, but their essence makes a comeback in Music Go Music’s first single, released earlier this year.
“Light of Love”, off Music Go Music’s first 12” of the same name, is a 5-minute onslaught of ABBA-like pop that’s every bit as sunny, and just as catchy. In the few months that I’ve been listening to this track, I don’t know that I’ve found a better song for Monday mornings or Friday afternoons.
Music Go Music just released their second 12”, Reach Out, on Secretly Canadian, and on it, they prove they’re more than just ABBA-redux. I highly recommend MGM’s 12”s, both of which are available through the AmazonMP3 store for a paltry $2.89.
