Röyksopp - “Happy Up Here (Holy Fuck Re-Interpretation)”
We mentioned this on Tuneage’s Twitter account yesterday, but decided it was just too good not to post here. With all the recent hype around Röyksopp’s latest single “Happy Up Here” (due for physical release 9 March), and the various different versions of the video floating around, you’d be forgiven for having had enough of the two Norwegians. But maybe this excellent “re-interpretation” by Holy Fuck will be enough to get you interested again. If you’re familiar with Holy Fuck, you’ll recognise their influence straight away, but they’ve also retained the playfulness of the original track, to great effect.
And in case you’re still none the wiser about which video is the official one, click through to see it embedded below, from Röysksopp’s Vimeo profile.
Holy Fuck - Latin (Daytrotter Session)
We love Holy Fuck, so imagine how excited we were to find a Holy Fuck Daytrotter Session this morning.
This track is the second song from their session, previously unreleased, called Latin. This is what Holy Fuck had to say about it:
A relatively new song. It hasn’t been released on anything yet and we’re not sure what will become of that song yet. We’ve been trying out different things on this one during this tour, and it’s starting to take shape!
There’s also a live version of it (you know, liver than a Daytrotter Session) here, recorded at this year’s SXSW.
The full Daytrotter Session can be found and downloaded on Daytrotter.com.
M.I.A. - Paper Planes (Holy Fuck Remix)
The weekend is almost here which means it’s time to let your hair down and go a little crazy to… well, how about a remix of M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes”? You know, The One With The Gunshots.
This remix is courtesy of Holy Fuck, who we posted a few weeks ago.
Holy Fuck - Royal Gregory
Holy Fuck are a lo-fi improvisational electro band from Canada that have gained a huge following in the last few years, partly due to their ability to put on an amazing live show (their SXSW appearance this year could best be described as “face-melting”).
This track comes from their 2007 album titled, appropriately, LP.
