It’s been a while, but now we have some new music worth throwing down monies for…

…and a great album we missed a little while back:

Lists are just lists - always incomplete and never able to give a complete picture of what they’re trying to convey. But it is fun to come up with lists like this, going back through an entire years worth of songs and albums and realizing that, “wow - there’s so much good music out there.” Hopefully, we here at Tuneage have done a decent enough job at pointing you towards some of it.

In addition to the awesomeness we’ve given you here, I invite you to check out my Best of 2010 mix over at Mixcloud. It’s 32 tracks and nearly two hours of the year’s best, including tracks from my top 5 albums listed below.

Looks like another great week on music release front:

Four Tet - “As Serious As Your Life

Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden) may well be the artist that made me love electronic music. His funky blend of jazz/folk/hip-hop/rock and traditional electronic elements is a deadly good combination. His latest album, “There Is Love In You”, is slated for release next week (those of you who follow us on twitter have hopefully already listened to it), so that means I’m spending some time in Four Tet’s back-catalogue.

During this trip down Excellent Music Lane, I fell into Four Tet’s third album, Rounds (easily one of my favorite electronic albums ever, by the way), which contains this twisty, glitchy gem. So while you wait for Four Tet’s latest to drop, go track down a copy of Rounds and set iTunes to play it on repeat. You can thank me in whatever manner you deem appropriate.
