Danny Byrd - “Gold Rush”

Danny Byrd has been a staple of the Drum & Bass scene for the best part of 10 years, and this track comes off his first full length LP on Hospital Records (Supersized, released 26th May), who he joined back in the year 2000. He’s well known for his attention to detail, technical versatility, and his trademark intricate vocal edits, and this track — co-produced by the Brookes Brothers — is a perfect example of all three of those things.

If you’re into Drum & Bass, you’ve probably heard this, and many others on the album, a million times, mixed by the likes of Andy C, High Contrast, and Cyantific, but if you’re new to the genre, this is a perfect introduction.
