Summer Reading

Okay, okay, summer is winding to a close and this post is overdue but us tuneage folks have been busy! Sort of.

I, intentionally, spent this summer reading a lot of biographies and memoirs by musicians and figured I’d give out a few recommendations to fellow music lovers. While I read some works by less well known artists (such as A Pure Drop: The Life of Jeff Buckley by Jeff Apter).  But I feel that when you have a basic grasp of someone’s career and their image, the biography is much more enjoyable.

The following are the ones I found either the most brutally honest, hilarious and insightful. I especially enjoyed Life - with its tongue-in-cheek, British attitude.
