Peter Bjorn & John - “Living Thing”

I remember the first time I heard PB&J; well, that’s not true. I remember the first time I had a song of theirs stuck in my head. It was the whistling part from “Young Folks”, the ubiquitous single from their excellent second album, Writer’s Block. A few years and one album have gone by since then, and PB&J are releasing their 4th studio album, Living Thing. As a whole, Living Thing isn’t as immediately satisfying as some of their previous material, but it grows on you.

This is the title track from the album, and I’ll be damned if it doesn’t sound like a lost track from Paul Simon’s Graceland. Peter Bjorn and John’s Living Thing is out today on Almost Gold Recordings.
