The Lovin’ Spoonful - “Summer in the City”

I trust that (for most of you, anyway) this song needs no introduction. A mid-60’s classic, this song as been a staple on summer mix tapes since the minute it was possible to create a mixed tape, and if you ask me, a summer mix that doesn’t contain this song isn’t worth listening to. So do yourself a favor, try to stay out of this batshit-crazy heat, and while you’re indoors, maybe make yourself a summer mix…just make sure this song’s on it.
