Lissy Trullie - “Forget About It”

Lissy is incredibly tall and thin and to hear this deep, booming Nico-esque voice come out of her can be surprising. In this song, I like how she goes from falsetto “la-la’s” back to her deep vocal range. Lissy sounds a little rough around the edges, which gives her sound an air of authenticity, Lissy infuses 70’s punk with some beats you can dance along to. Keep an eye out for her. For more on Lissy, read about her in The New Yorker and in Time Out New York

Her debut EP, Self-Taught Learner, will be released February 17th on Brooklyn-based indie label American Myth Recordings.
