The Lord Dog Bird - “Song for Woodthrush”

While Wilderness “was on extended hiatus”, their guitarist, Colin McCann, was working on some solo recordings on a 4-track in his home. This past August McCann (calling himself The Lord Dog Bird) released some of these recordings as a self-titled LP on Jagjaguwar.

This is exactly the kind of music I look for on Sunday afternoons in the fall, and anyone who enjoys the intimate style of Bon Iver, but wants less falsetto, should find something to like in The Lord Dog Bird.
