Lenka - “Dangerous and Sweet”

I really dig Lenka. She’s what I like to call “organic pop.” No bubble gum necessary, and yes! She even wears clothes AND writes her own songs! She’s the kind of pop that doesn’t have to be a guilty pleasure. I feel like that hasn’t existed for a while.

Lenka is an adorable Australian who writes incredibly catchy tunes. Her song “The Show” was recently featured on the commercial promoting the Ugly Betty season premiere, as well as the Old Navy back to school campaign. You can check out the video for that song here. Her self-titled debut is out now.

Random fun fact: Lenka trained as an actress with Cate Blanchett back in Australia, though she currently resides in LA.
