Sam Amidon - Saro
If it’s not obvious yet, then I’ll let you in on an open secret: I can’t get enough of singer/songwriters who sound like they’ve recorded their music in their bedroom (Iron & Wine and Bon Iver, I’m looking in your direction). Seriously, I could listen to them all day long.
With this in mind, Sam Amidon couldn’t be more up my alley. I stumbled across Sam this past weekend, and since then I’ve bought both albums and had them on repeat. Sam plays a kind of Appalachian folk music that is vulnerable, crushingly beautiful, and all to rare these days.
Saro is the first single off his latest album, All is Well, and I dare you not to be moved by this song.
