Pepi Ginsberg - The Waterline
I’m sure you’re wondering what kind of music someone with the name Pepi Ginsberg could put possibly out. Well. This is a really good example of what her upcoming album, Red has in store. This song sounds like 1968. Alright, I made that up, but it certainly has that raw garage rock/folk sound from back in the day. Her voice kind of reminds me of Nico’s… perhaps it’s the fact that they are both moderalty low-pitched.
This Brooklyn native will be hitting the road in the next few months to support her Park the Van Records debut. For those of you in NYC, Pepi will be playing at the Bowery Poetry Club on April 15. Details can be found on her myspace page.
Enjoy!
