The Bodysnatchers - Too Experienced
I first heard this song on a 2 Tone compilation I got back in the day. Clearly, I fell in love instantly!
The Bodysnatchers were a 7-piece all female ska band from the UK that were around from 1979-1981. They broke up before the they released an album on 2 Tone Records. However, they did release a few singles that did pretty well. This being one of them. For those of you who love ska, especially first-wave or British revival ska, I hope you like this song.
After disbanding in 1981, the members all went on to different projects. Rhoda Dakar, the lead singer of the Bodysnatchers went on to front The Special AKA.
This song is so simple and melodic. I really wish they released a full length album.
