Bell X1 - Flame

Back late last year, when Cut Copy were still working on their new album (due for a March release in Australia), they released a mixtape to tide the fans over in the meantime. They called it So Cosmic, and you can download it here, if you like.

Sometime between my 5th and 50th listen of the mix, I realised there was one part of it I kept skipping back to, and this is what it turned out to be.

I’d never heard of Bell X1 before, but they’re huge in Ireland, where they hail from. Their last album, Flock, which this track comes from, was released there in 2005 and went straight to the top of the Irish charts. That album was released last week in the US, and I recommend picking it up.
