Caribou - “Crayon

I was reminded of this song recently after stumbling across a great ad for Nike last week. Known as Manitoba when this song appeared on 2003’s Up in Flames, Canadian Dan Snaith has since changed his name to Caribou, although his style remains similar (if a bit less experimental these days). As the title of the song hints, you’ll notice a child-like quality to the bell-driven melody in this song. Combine that with the samples of dogs barking and children laughing, and you have all the makings of a great song for a Monday afternoon in spring.
